Filed under: Coupe , Performance , Videos , Lotus Lotus would like to sell more Evoras, and it’s no secret that there are some customers who want to buy them, if not for the lack of an automatic transmission standing in the way. That hurdle’s been cleared for 2012, with the Evora receiving the six-speed automatic that Lotus calls IPS, for Intelligent Precision Shift. Mechanically it is the same Aisin unit found in the Toyota Camry (paired with a supercharged version of Toyota ‘s 3.5-liter V6) upgraded with Lotus electronics and actuators.

Official: Rolls-Royce records highest annual sales in 107-year history

That’s a 31 percent increase over the 2,711 models sold in 2010, thanks mostly to brisk sales of the Ghost and Phantom models. Detroit: Smart For-Us brings truckness to the urban jungle

Filed under: Detroit Auto Show , Truck , Smart , Electric The Smart team looked to none other than actor/comedian/SNL-alum Jon Lovitz to introduce its pickup truck concept. We’re not sure what is stranger: the other J-Lo at an auto show press conference or a Smart with usable bed space. The Smart For-Us concept features a 75-horsepower electric motor that twists up 98 pound-feet of torque.
