Toyota recalling 94,000 2011 Sienna minivans over brake light bracket issue

Filed under: Minivan/Van , Recalls , Toyota 2011 Toyota Sienna – Click above for high-res image gallery Toyota has issued a voluntary recall for approximately 94,000 2011 Sienna minivans produced before the beginning of November 2010. The recall is a result of a Stop Lamp Switch Bracket placed near the parking brake. When the parking brake is fully applied it may deform the switch bracket. This could result in the brake lights remaining lit or even partial engagement of the brakes resulting in a reduction of brake effectiveness over time

Toyota Swagger Wagon Supreme headed to SEMA

Filed under: Marketing/Advertising , Celebrities “Where my mother fathers at?” We’re not entirely sure what Toyota has in store, but the Japanese automaker has tweeted that it will unveil the “Swagger Wagon Supreme” at SEMA next Tuesday. We can only assume it’ll be tarted-up Sienna minivan , and apparently Brian Huskey, the rappin’ father figure in the popular ads will be on hand when it is revealed. What, no Swagger Mommy?

Additionally, pricing has been released for the Sienna with Auto Access Seat, which is the first factory-installed power access seat available in a minivan. The Avalon, which goes on sale later this month, starts at $32,245, which is the same starting MSRP as the outgoing 2010 model. Higher-grade Limited models start at $35,485, which represents an increase of $200 over the 2010 model
