We’ve seen the next generation of the baby SLK out testing , and now our spies have caught a larger 2012 SL mule out and about. Up front, the more upright fascia with the dinner plate-sized Three-Pointed Star logo is the biggest change, as are the revised headlamps, which seem to be less angular than the ones found on the current SL. Looking below, we can see that LED running light strips have been fitted at the lower air intakes (something that’s quickly becoming standard equipment across the automaker’s portfolio), and out back, the triangular taillamps have been smoothed out a bit

Spy Shots: Updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class wagon spotted touring about

Naturally, the same changes spotted in that last round of photos – new hood, headlights and bumpers, a more upright grille, LED taillamps, and altered rear fascia – have taken the small step over to this car as well. The spy shooters at CarPix also suggest that noticeable interior changes might be on the way, since “test drivers are always very keen on covering the dash up.” We expect a few modest material changes and maybe some COMAND updates, but not a full-on interior redo. Either way, you can check out high-res exterior shots in the gallery of photos below.

Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster final form revealed in patent drawings?

As sussed out by Auto Bild , these images are said to be German patent office filings for the roadster. Apparently they sneaked out for a stein one evening and were lured back to the home of the Internet.

While there, a prototype SLS AMG Roadster made a suspiciously timed pass and pause while he and other journalists were walking around the compound. No matter the motivation, our man Paukert snagged a brace of shots and says that the droptop is expected to arrive as a 2012 model. Aside from the folding top in place of the upward swinging gullwing doors, not much else is expected to change
