Official: 2013 Dodge Dart is the Neon of the future [w/video]

Filed under: Detroit Auto Show , Budget , Sedan , Chrysler , Dodge Let’s be honest: Useful as the Dodge Caliber was, it didn’t quite fit into the C-segment as nicely as the plucky little Neon that came before it. But now the Caliber is dead, and the Chrysler Group has a big ol’ Italian parts bin to work from in order to create its new crop of cars, the first of which is this, the 2013 Dodge Dart . Not only is this an all-new entry into an extremely competitive segment, it’s the first bit of fruit from the Chrysler- Fiat partnership, and from the looks of things, it’s going to be good.

Video: Mercedes shows off SL’s new curves with supermodel Lara Stone

Filed under: Convertible , Mercedes-Benz , Design/Style , Luxury Mercedes-Benz sent Calvin Klein model Lara Stone out with a 2013 SL , and put photographer Alex Prager in charge of documenting the platform-heeled, Arcadian shenanigans. The project is called the 2012 Fashion Collaboration, Icons of Style, and will be shown in its entirety at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, February 9-15, 2012. Meant to be a modern take on film noir and, apparently, Storm Catchers, Stone uses the SL to outrun a tornado.

Official: IndyCar Series drops Vegas from 2012 calendar in wake of Wheldon crash

Filed under: Motorsports The IndyCar Series has yet to announce its calendar for the 2012 season. When it does, it may or may not feature any superspeedways, but one thing’s for sure: it won’t include Las Vegas. The high-speed track hadn’t been used for this kind of racing since the Champ Car series raced there in 2005.
