Official: 2012 BMW 3 Series configurator powers up

The 3 Series configurator reveals 15 different 3 Series models from which to choose, including coupe, convertible, sedan and Wagon variants, plus a choice of a four- and six-cylinder gas engines, along with diesel model and available all-wheel drive. The all-new for 2012 328i Sedan starts out at $34,900 (plus $895 destination), but just a few options sends the MSRP skyward.

Report: Latest group that Jeremy Clarkson has offended? Indians

Filed under: Europe , Earnings/Financials , Celebrities , India Pretty much every time Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson opens his mouth these days, someone takes offense, which does make it hard to tell whether Clarkson is actually offensive. The latest complaints have come after the Top Gear Christmas special , in which Clarkson and his posse go to India on a “trade mission.” According to The Telegraph , the BBC has received 23 complaints about the show, in which Clarkson is charged with making insensitive remarks about Indian clothing, trains, food and history. Clarkson’s “funny” bits on the show included dropping his pants in front of Indian dignitaries and outfitting a Jaguar XJS with a toilet seat and then driving around Indian slums, according to the report.

Video: Ford Racing gives Focus ST-R race car tour

Filed under: Motorsports , Performance , Videos , Hatchback , Ford , Racing Ford has finally given us a complete walk around video of the company’s ready-to-order Ford Focus ST-R racer. The vehicle is available through the Ford Racing catalog and features all the tricks you’ll need to compete in series like the Grand-Am ST class or the SCCA World Challenge TC. The racecar makes use of the same production EcoBoost 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission found in the production model, though the engine has been calibrated to suck down race fuel for a little more power. As Ford Racing’s Andy Vrenko shows us, larger brakes and a set of three-way adjustable coilovers are part of the suspension package, and indoors, the Ford Focus ST-R comes equipped with an FIA-spec roll cage, Recaro race seat and AEM data logger.

Video: Top Gear teases India special

It appears Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond will be embarking on a trade mission. And yes, you read “trade mission.” The UK’s big three will apparently attempting to improve Britain’s economy by boosting trade with the good people of India.

Report: Ford Racing quietly shows off Mustang Boss 302SX

Mustang Daily reports that Ford unleashed the newest member of the Boss family at the PRI show in Florida; the Boss 302SX. The Boss 302 concept is called the ultimate track car, and its stats tell the story.
