A 2005 Chrysler 300C that allegedly belonged to the Commander In Chief (back when he was an Illinois senator) has hit eBay Motors .

Carbon Motors petitions for federal loan with open letter to Obama cabinet

Filed under: Sedan , Etc. , Government/Legal , Police/Emergency , Specialty , Diesel Carbon Motors , the manufacturer of the purpose-built E7 law enforcement vehicle, has sent an open letter to members of President Barack Obama’s cabinet urging the administration to approve the company’s Department of Energy Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing loan. Carbon Motors applied for a $300 million ATVM loan two years ago, but has yet to secure the funding. With members of congress eying any and all ways to stem the flow of government spending, there’s some concern the ATVM loan program will dry up entirely

Report: First Mexican truck poised to enter U.S. as tensions mount

Filed under: Government/Legal The very first Mexican truck is set to enter the United States seventeen years after a provision in the North American Free Trade Agreement allowed cargo carriers from the south to carry freight across the border. The provision has faced stiff opposition from lawmakers and union officials alike, with the latest hurdle coming from the Obama Administration . In early 2009, the administration canceled a pilot program that would have had Mexican drivers making deliveries on a trial basis that year. Mexico responded with hefty tariffs on a range of 99 agricultural products worth around $2 billion annually.

Filed under: Etc. , Government/Legal Indiana governor Mitch Daniels was forced to close the Sherman Minton Bridge over the Ohio River last week. The 50-year-old structure connects Indiana with Kentucky via Interstate 64, and after years of overuse, the bridge has deteriorated significantly. Inspectors recently discovered a large crack in the main load-bearing element of the bridge, and structural engineers quickly recommended closing the structure to traffic.
