The new concept, developed in the human/machine interface department of GM, is an enhanced vision system that builds upon conventional heads-up technology and displays important information across the entire windshield using cameras and sensors placed around the car. This new high-tech, forward-thinking system won’t come to market for quite a few years (if ever), but this interesting video offers an in-depth look at the technologies that GM is using to better enhance heads-up technology.

Filed under: Concept Cars , Japan , Nissan , Electric Nissan Leaf – Click above for high-res image gallery Interest in, and ” pre-orders” for , the Nissan Leaf remains high, but a report from the Japanese newspaper the Mainichi Shimbun might put a damper on things. Apparently, the price for the all-electric car in Japan will be somewhere between 3.5 million and 4 million yen, which is about $38,667 to $44,191 U.S. at today’s exchange rates. Granted, even if these prices are accurate, they certainly don’t automatically equal the MSRP for the U.S.

Built in 1934 or 1935 by designer Frank Skroback, this “roadable aircraft” is truly a sight to behold. Looking a bit like a dirigible that’s been set up for grand prix racing, it has a seven-foot wingspan and enough wings, stabilizers, ailerons and flaps to supply the whole grid in last weekend’s Bahrain GP .
