Report: BMW hooks DTM up with new M3 safety car

Filed under: Coupe , Europe , BMW , Racing Choosing a safety car to pace a racing series is tricky business that almost invariably results in either a constant flux of vehicles called into duty or playing favorites between the manufacturers taking part in the series. NASCAR changes its pace cars about as quickly as it changes tires. Formula One sticks with Mercedes-Benz machinery, and nobody seems to complain very much. But DTM bridges the gap with a slightly different approach

Report: Refreshed 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK to get diesel option

Filed under: Crossover , Mercedes-Benz , Diesel Even though spy shots signal that exterior adjustments on the next Mercedes-Benz GLK will be subtle, there’s one giant adjustment coming under the hood, and it smells like oil – in a good way. Automotive News says the revamped softroader will gain a new diesel engine option. Detroit: This is the 2013 Ford Fusion

Filed under: Detroit Auto Show , Sedan , Ford We’ve still got a few days between us and the reveal of the 2013 Ford Fusion , but a minor bug in its iPad teaser app has given us an early glimpse of the all-new sedan. But today, an error with the app gave us a nice front-three-quarter view of Ford’s new Camry -fighter, which has since been removed. We’re digging the low-slung stance, blacked-out Day Light Opening (greenhouse) and pixel-perfect wheel size, but it’s the fascia that’s easily the most handsome, combining elements of recent Ford concepts and polishing them up for production duty (along with a fair bit of Aston Martin in that grille).

The engine’s transformation is nearly complete, but it seems the boat needs a great deal more work.
