That’s because, while the automaker’s product-design division has dozens of locations around the world, few of them are in the United States for a brand that is typically European in its focus. But all that’s changing with the company’s new flagship store.

Report: Ford to pay bonuses and raises, GM and Chrysler decline to do same

Filed under: Chrysler , Ford , Earnings/Financials , Canada Ford has announced that it will give both bonuses and merit-based raises to the company’s salaried workers in the United States and Canada for the first time since 2008, according to Reuters . On average, the manufacturer will offer a 2.7 percent salary increase based on individual performance. The company stopped offering the bonuses after the financial crisis of 2009 sent automotive sales into a plunge.

Official: Nissan raises GT-R base price to $96,820 for 2013

Nissan has announced pricing for the 2013 model, which starts at $96,820, nearly $7,000 more than the 2012 car. You may remember that the 2008 GT-R started under $70,000 , so the sticker shock of a 38.6 percent price increase in six model years is not insignificant.

Official: BMW to launch toned-down line of M Performance Automobiles

The German automaker announced today that it’s going to be showing a new line of what it’s calling “M Performance Automobiles” at the Geneva Motor Show in March. These vehicles will sit between standard Bimmers and M vehicles in the lineup, and apparently offer more than just cosmetics.

Report: Next-Gen Hyundai Santa Fe will debut in Big Apple

Filed under: New York Auto Show , Crossover , Hyundai Motor Trend reports Hyundai has confirmed that its next-generation Santa Fe will bow at the 2012 New York Auto Show . The third-generation Santa Fe is expected to hit dealer lots by the end of the year as a 2013 model. Hyundai hasn’t disclosed exactly what we can expect from the vehicle when it arrives, though spy shots suggest a vehicle more in-line with the automaker’s current design language.
