Worst of the Worst: AOL Autos rolls out its own list

Filed under: Classics , Humor In the interest of full disclosure, that’s my byline on AOL Autos’ list of the worst cars from 50 automakers . Yes, it’s not the only such list we’ve seen recently , and you are of course strongly encouraged to let me have it in the comments. Anyone who calls out 50 different automotive brands for their worst FAIL moments had better have thick skin, which I do. I also have a sense of humor – and not for a minute do I or anyone else at our sister site that weighed in on the list think it is as definitive as it is funny.

SEMA: Local Motors updates 2012 Rally Fighter, launches The Forge

Filed under: SEMA Show , Coupe , Performance , Technology , Specialty , Design/Style , Off-Road , MISC Local Motors and its team of online community members are hard at work refining the Rally Fighter for 2012, and the list of changes for the new model year have officially been announced here at SEMA . Probably the biggest piece of news is the replacement of the older three-link (with Watt’s link ) rear suspension setup with a better four-link arrangement. The buyer can now choose from a stock Ford 8.8-inch rear end or opt instead for a welded-up 9-inch. Up front, a new set of billet A arms round out the suspension updates.

Filed under: Etc. , Videos By and large, automotive enthusiasts have successfully established their hobby as a wholesome, legitimate and family-oriented activity with few exceptions. Take the La Raza Lowrider Show in Kent, Washington where a fight between unnamed individuals degraded into a shooting that saw 10 people wounded in the incident. Victims at the lowrider gathering were taken to several different hospitals for treatment, with some individuals managing to drive themselves to the emergency room
