Official: Kizashi to return to Super Bowl in new ad from Suzuki [w/video] [UPDATED]

Filed under: Budget , Sedan , Marketing/Advertising , Suzuki Suzuki is about as small as automakers get here in the United States, even if its parent company does mad business in Japan and other parts of the world. So when the scrappy purveyor of the SX4 and Grand Vitara says it will again be ponying up for Super Bowl ads featuring its Kizashi mid-size sedan, it raises some eyebrows, including ours. Super Bowl ads are notoriously expensive, and Suzuki sold just 26,619 vehicles in the U.S. in 2011.

Official: Donkervoort D8 GTO is bigger and badder

Filed under: Convertible , Europe , Specialty , Racing It was a year ago that Dutch sports car maker Doonkervoort teased the D8 GTO on its Christmas card. It took a little longer than expected (and we lost a fiver in the process ), but Santa’s elves have crafted the thing in time for this Christmas. As predicted, it’s “clearly a size larger” than Donkervoort’s other fireballs, the GT and D8 270RS, by about a foot in length and six inches in width. However, it doesn’t share much with its siblings because the company wanted to provide a perfect holding place for the 2.5-liter TSFI engine sourced from Audi .

Video: eBay Motors launches World’s Fastest Car Show with Justin Bell

Filed under: Coupe , Performance , Videos , Ford , Celebrities Justin Bell and eBay Motors have teamed up for a new web-based car show called, fittingly enough, “The World’s Fastest Car Show.” The premise is pretty straight-forward, with Bell taking to the wheel of some piece of drool-worthy metal in the first half of the show before heading off to an event in the latter half. The inaugural episode features a stint in the delicious Ford Mustang Boss 302 on Mulholland Drive as well as a stop in at Pebble Beach for a peak at the concept lawn. Bell spends some time with a variety of concepts before deciding that the electrified Porsche 918 RSR is the belle of that particular ball. Race fans will likely recognize Bell as the same champion race driver who has campaigned at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA GT series
