Filed under: Performance , Europe , Videos , Crossover , Nissan , UK The Nissan Juke R is a gaggle of impressive numbers: 1,540 hours and 22 weeks of development time, 11 videos of its development, several upset bosses , 480 GT-R -derived horsepower and 428 pound-feet – and to that group we can add a 3.7-second 0-to-60 time and a top speed of 160 miles per hour. Yes, 3.7 seconds may be a second slower than the GT-R, but it’s only two-tenths of a second slower than the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG . Speaking of the videos, the eleventh and last in the series has been released and it’s the final teaser before the real thing explodes onto the scene in Dubai .

Exclusive: Nissan Juke R to pace Dubai 24-hour race

In addition to the scads of GT3-spec BMW Z4s , Mercedes-Benz SLS AMGs , Ferrari 458 Italias and Porsche 911s , the pace car running in front of them will be none other than the Nissan Juke R . The 480-horsepower GT-R / Juke mash-up hasn’t made its debut in front of the public yet, so unless Nissan has a surprise up its sleeves before the race, which is scheduled for the weekend of January 12-14, this will be Juke R’s coming out party.

Report: Remember the BMW supercar that M Division wanted to build? Not gonna happen

Filed under: Coupe , Performance , BMW , Luxury For at least two years, BMW has been teasing the idea of making a supercar, the kind that would glare with laser headlights at the Audi R8 and say, “Yeah, I’m lookin’ at you.” Way back in early 2008, the car was rumored to be a twin-turbo V10 with 625 horsepower. A year later, it was going to be the gentler, greener two-seat Z10 ED with a twin-turbo six cylinder and 400 hp. A year later still, the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder, hybrid i8 inherited the green supercar mantle.
