Its results have been decidedly mixed, nowhere more so than with its luxury lineup. But with the 2013 Lexus GS 450h, Toyota thinks it has finally figured out what a hybrid luxury car should be.

Official: Daimler increases prices on 2012 Maybach models

The numbers don’t really make a dent in what its competitors sell, and they are but a drop in the bucket of what the company moves as a whole. That’s what’s prompted Daimler to seek out more cost-effective alternatives to the current Maybach line, and what’s reportedly forced them to move to shutter the brand in the near future . So you’d think that the prices on buying a new Maybach would be dropping considerably as a result

Rumormill: BMW X6 M550d specs supposedly leak, hits 60 mph in under 5 seconds

But according to the crew at BMWBlog , the recently teased BMW X6 M550d will come packing 381 horsepower and a pavement ripping 545 pound-feet of torque. The news comes courtesy of unnamed sources that say the first diesel from the M division will supposedly pack a tri-turbo, six-cylinder diesel nestled beneath a modified hood. Two versions are rumored to be available: a traditional RWD variant badged the M550D and an all-wheel-drive version that appends the xDrive moniker to the end.
