Report: TrueCar polishing edges off business model to comply with state regulations

In response, the company has announced a series of changes to its business model, designed to address the legality of its service, according to a report in Automotive News . The biggest change is that dealers in some states will now have to subscribe to the lead service rather than paying a per-vehicle fee for sales closed from a TrueCar referral.

Report: Mini to expand lineup to ten with three new versions by decade’s end

Filed under: Mini Think there are a lot of Mini variants already? Hold on to your hats, because BMW is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. Next month the new Mini Roadster will hit American showrooms, and next year, a two-door crossover (presaged by the Paceman concept from Detroit last year but carrying the Countryman Coupe in production form) should be available as well.

John Watson Chevrolet in Utah whipped up its own treat when it needed to accelerate the deconstruction of its old building, grabbing four Silverado pickups of various specification to do the destructive honors. Whether or not the trucks in question had help from a certain orange excavator lurking in the background is beside the point – pretend demolition can be just as much fun as the real thing

Report: Marchionne admits 50,000-unit sales goal for Fiat 500 "incredibly naive"

And now that 2011 is in the rear view mirror, it seems CEO Sergio Marchionne is ready to admit that the sales target was not very realistic. CNN Money reports that the charismatic Fiat/Chrysler boss is now calling the 50,000 number “incredibly naive,” adding that the goal was to best Mini Cooper’s 2010 sales total of 45,644.
