Even after setting aside actual SUVs like the Xterra , Pathfinder and Armada , Infiniti’s offerings QX , EX and FX , and the crossovers its developed for its sister company Renault like the new Koleos , the Japanese automaker produces its own crossovers by, well… the truckload. Here we’ve got the Rogue , the Juke , and the Murano , joined overseas by such models as the Patrol/Safari , the X-Trail , and this, the Qashqai .

Next-generation Nissan Qashqai to be wholly British-made

Production of the next-generation Qashqai will remain at Nissan's Sunderland plant where the 1 millionth unit of the SUV will roll off the assembly line later this month.

Nissan LEAF Electric Vehicle to be Built in UK

Nissan's Sunderland plant has been chosen as one of the three in the world which will produce the LEAF electric car. A lithium-battery facility is also going to be built in the same UK city.

Nissan’s Qazana-based Juke shucks and jives its way out of the darkness, headed for Geneva

The same basic form that had us likening the concept crossover to something French or a vehicle “reverse-engineered from a Paris-Dakar rally special,” is evident in this first teaser shot of what Nissan is now calling Juke. The Juke will be unveiled in Geneva this March, and is expected to moon bounce roll onto European dealer lots this autumn. However, it is rather unlikely that the Juke will make its way to North America, as the compact crossover will be built in the UK.
